Green Expert Herbicide

Green Expert – produced by Insecticides (India) Limited – is a next-generation, broad-spectrum systemic herbicide specifically designed for rice (paddy) cultivation 

Active Ingredients

• Bispyribac sodium 9.5%

• Penoxsulam 7.8%
  Both are water-soluble active ingredients in a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation

Mode of Action

Green Expert is systemic—it’s absorbed by weed foliage and translocates through plant tissues. Bispyribac sodium disrupts an essential plant enzyme, inhibiting weed growth, while penoxsulam enhances efficacy across grassy, sedge, and broadleaf weeds

Crop & Target Weeds

• Primary Use: Paddy fields

• Target Weeds:

  • Grassy weeds (e.g. Echinochloa spp.)

  • Sedges

  • Broadleaf weeds
    Provides broad-spectrum, selective control without harming the rice crop

Application & Dosage

• Timing: Post-emergence (2–5 leaf stage of weeds)

• Dosage: 100 ml per spray (typically per acre or hectare—follow label guidelines) 

• Method: Foliar spray using a knapsack or power sprayer

• Compatibility: Can be tank-mixed with other compatible agrochemicals
