Product Overview

Profex is a broad-spectrum insecticide formulated with Profenofos 50% EC. It offers effective control against a wide range of pests, including bollworms, aphids, jassids, whiteflies, and thrips.

Application Guidelines

• Dosage:

  • Cotton:

    • Bollworms: 600–800 ml per acre

    • Sucking pests (Jassids, Aphids, Thrips, Whiteflies): 400 ml per acre

  • Soybean:

    • Semi Looper & Girdle Beetle: 400 ml per acre

• Dilution: Mix with 200–400 liters of water per acre, depending on the crop and pest infestation.

• Method: Apply as a foliar spray using a well-calibrated sprayer to ensure uniform coverage.

• Timing: Initiate application when pest populations reach economic threshold levels

Mode of Action

Profex operates through potent inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. After feeding on a Profex-treated plant or crawling over a treated leaf, the pest is first paralyzed and then quickly dies
