    Product Name: Ampligo Insecticide
    Technical Name: Chlorantraniliprole 9.3 % + Lambda-cyhalothrin 4.6 % ZC
    Product Type: Insecticide
    Brand Name: Syngenta

    Product Overview:

Ampligo is a next-generation, broad-spectrum insecticide from Syngenta, combining Chlorantraniliprole + Lambda-cyhalothrin in a Zeon micro-encapsulated formulation (ZC).  It delivers fast “knock-down” effect plus longer residual control, with activity against multiple life stages (eggs, larvae, adults) of major lepidopteran pests and some other chewing pests.

    Summary:

    Feature Details
Mode(s) of Action - Chlorantraniliprole: anthranilic diamide; disrupts ryanodine receptors, causes paralysis via calcium imbalance in insect muscles.  - Lambda-cyhalothrin: pyrethroid; rapid knockdown via nervous system disruption.
Target Pests Lepidopteran pests (e.g. bollworms, stem borers, pod borers, leaf folders), also action on eggs and larvae (“ovi-larvicidal”)
Crops Cotton, Rice, Soybean, Redgram / Pigeon Pea, Vegetables (e.g. Brinjal), and others depending on region.
    Dosage / Application

    - Typically ~ 100 ml per acre for cotton & rice; ~ 80 ml per acre for pulses/vegetables.

    - Dilution: usually 200 liters water per acre for foliar spray.

Waiting Period / PHI Varies by crop: e.g., ~ 20 days for cotton; ~ 53 days for rice; ~ 18 days for pigeon pea; ~ 5 days for brinjal; ~ 3 days for okra.
Key Features - Rapid knockdown (fast feeding stop) - Residual / longer duration control - Kills eggs & larvae (ovi-larvicidal) - Zeon® technology improves rainfastness, leaf adherence.
Pack Sizes Multiple sizes: 25 ml, 80 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml, 1 L (depending on region)
Safety / Resistance Notes Use as per label; rotate modes of action to avoid resistance; avoid spraying during peak pollinator activity; wear PPE etc.

    Benefits:

    • Broad-spectrum control — Works on many lepidopteran pests and other chewing insects, hitting different stages (egg, larva, adult).
    • Rapid knock-down — The lambda-cyhalothrin component gives fast action, reducing feeding damage quickly.
    • Long residual effect — Chlorantraniliprole provides longer protection, reducing the number of sprays needed.
    • Ovi-larvicidal action — It kills both eggs and larvae, helping to reduce pest population early and lower pressure later.
    • Reduced economic loss — Because damage is cut quickly and persistently, crop loss is minimized.
    • Effective across life stages — Protection from adult stages as well as immature ones helps in better pest management.
